Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) has had a great start to the year so far. October has been the month that we have really started getting busy. We have completed our duty of litter pick-up on the 2-mile stretch of George Washington Carver Road we adopted this last year. Also this month, we had many students enjoy the benefits of learning about leadership at Fall Leadership Rally. Student leaders have begun planning for many upcoming events including Winter Formal. Through a partnership with Student Council and Gilbert Middle School, FCCLA has begun raising money for the Save the Rain Project. Biweekly meetings of FCCLA student officers have allowed for increased organization and leadership opportunities. FCCLA looks forward to a great year of improving families, encouraging career preparation, and reaching out to our community.
