Congratulations to the Gilbert High School FCCLA for hosting the second-annual Veterans Day Appreciation Breakfast.
One of the missions of this organization is developing skills in interpersonal communications. Those of us attending their Veterans Day Appreciation Celebration can attest to these young people’s skill when visiting with a diverse group of veterans.
The students took seats at our tables and talked with us, displaying an outstanding civic minded concern and a real interest in our past as veterans. In a day when many individuals do not experience this side of our committed teens, I salute their warm, outgoing manner in hosting this event. They did a fine job of expressing their patriotism in a personal manner. The students learned from us, and we certainly learned some wonderful traits about them.
Thank you, Gilbert FCCLA.
